Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences to Make Meaningful Connections with Families to Build Self-Healing Communities

June 4, 2022 @ 8:30 am - 11:45 am

For: ALL Caregivers
Trainer: Dr. Mary Sciaraffa, CFLE
Cost: $20 per person

CDA Goal #3: To support social social and emotional development and to provide positive guidance.

Brain development in the early years is especially susceptible to toxic stress caused by Adverse Childhood Experiences. Toxic stress has the capacity to physically change a child’s brain and be hardwired into the child’s biology. Adults can assist in increasing physical health and mental well-being for children who have encountered Adverse Childhood Experiences. Participants will learn how they are in a unique position to assist adults in attending to the child’s unique health and developmental needs. Participants will discover the link between resilience families and self-healing communities.

Must add staff names with a current email address. A Zoom Link will be sent to each person with instructions and handouts.
